The
core function of the Home Loan Guarantee Company is to provide
commercial risk guarantees to lenders that provide homeloans to the lower end of the market.
These guarantees are paid out if the debt is not fully covered through
accessing the underlying security, under certain terms and conditions.
Information on the terms and conditions is available directly from
the HLGC contact. The guarantees are thus of a ‘last resort’
nature covering the residual loss suffered by the lenders.
